The vivid memory of the incident was burned into her mind.
The ground of the soccer field shook beneath her, cracking apart. Huge chunks of concrete rained down from above, making craters in the collapsing structure of the soccer stadium. She was kneeling on the ground, her body was aching so bad that she might as well have been on fire. Inside her, the feelings of shame and resentment swirled like a storm out at sea. She had failed Father. They had all failed Father. She had failed everyone. All she wanted was to be left alone, trembling in pain and exhaustion, to collapse with the building. She didn't even have the energy to flinch as concrete debris the size of a bus crashed down next to her. Hope of escaping alive had drained out of her.
"Hey! Come on, we need to get out of here!"
She wearily looked in the direction of the voice, it was that crazy goalkeeper whom Hiroto had obsessed over for the past few months. She had no energy to get up. She shook her head at him, trying to tell him to leave without her.
The next thing the bluenette could remember was his arms firmly around her, carrying her toward the Inazuma Caravan. And the brunette beside her, his eyes filled with fierce determination saying "No one's going to be left behind!"
That was the last thing Yagami could remember before she blacked out.
