Night Thoughts

You are asleep

Your blue eyes closed deep

Your blonde hair resting down

Your lips in a frown…

I could see everything

All the pain, all the suffering

Away from you the ache

I had wished to take

Your tribe perished

Leaving you diminished

Your heart broken

Your soul stolen

If only I were there

To comfort you, to care

To shield you from the pain

And protect you from the rain

I may talk like a fool

But I care not at all

I just wanted you to remember

A friend is waiting forever

Now, Kurapika, just rest

For tomorrow you'll need your best

To change everything…

And start a new beginning…
