Petra was always an indecisive person, Levi thinks as he stands in front of her desk, which was riddled with papers, all with flowcharts and tcharts. It's a trick Erwin taught her- to go through a flowchart of all the pros and cons of an decision, then list the pros and cons of each choice next to each other so that it would be easier to weigh the consequences. He smiles, going through them is a glimpse into what was her life, and her concerns were sometimes surprisingly cute.
Black Tea or Green Tea? was scribbled at the top of one. Listed underneath was- CON: Auroro strongly dislikes this tea. PRO: Levi says this keeps him awake longer. Under green tea her familiar handwriting said PRO: Less Expensive. CON: we had it last week PRO: Hange doesn't like it and therefore won't drink it all. Beneath both was more scribbling, until finally green tea was written in bold letters, and was circled. Levi smiled faintly, looking down at the cup of green tea in his hands- he still had some- tea lasted longer for one then for a whole squad. He continued to flip through the papers, fondly thinking about the choices she made.
Visit Dad or get cloak repaired?
Dishwashing duty or Sweeping duty?
Tell Levi or not?
Wait. What? Levi frowned and his brow crinkled as he sat down at the table, now lined with a fine layer of dust after not being used for so long. He crossed his legs, picked up the paper delicately, carefully, as to not spill his green tea, and started to read.
Petra Ral had a very important decision to make. Damn. She hated making decisions, and she reasoned that in all her life she never had to make one as difficult as this. She chastised herself for getting herself into this position in the first place. Stupid, stupid her. She knew better, she told herself. Really, Petra? That condom really was past it's expiration day. Why the hell did she not stop and think? Well, mostly because Levi was being an absolutely hot piece of ass that day. Still, that was no excuse. And now, the consequence was that she was pregnant. Damn. Still, cursing herself for stupid lust filled actions wouldn't help her now. She sighed, pacing along the warm path by the castle leading to the training grounds. Birds were tweeting, horses were neighing, Levi was bitching, and Gunther was training. In short, the world seemed to keep on spinning, unknown to the huge decision weighing on her conscious. She continued to walk the path until she found Levi, done with his bitching, sitting in a chair with a focused, almost angry look on his face, a cup of what looked like green tea in his hand, one leg crossed over the other. Petra decided she needed a break from this painful thought process and sat down.
"Something bothering you?" she asked, her voice like soft honey. Levi looked up, and gave a curt nod.
"I'm getting a really fucking bad feeling about tomorrow. I can't stand all these unknown variable, like the brat over there." He tipped his head in Eren's direction, the grey eyed boy who was feeding the horses. Petra mentally started to worry. If Levi was having a bad feeling about the expedition tomorrow, did that mean she should tell him? Or would it be better to stay by his side? She couldn't raise a child without him! "You alright, Petra?" He asked, the concerned face of a lover, not a captain. She nodded meekly. "Good. I can't imagine doing the expedition without you."
That settled it. She'd tell him after. What was the worst that could happen?
