Leafpool slipped out of ThunderClan camp. Crowfeather, who was waiting for her, pressed against her side as they walked through the night. The tom gazed into Leafpool's eyes. He loved her. He really did. As they curled up in a log, the same though rang through his head. But does she love me?

They gave each other affectionate licks. To Leafpool, it was as if time was standing still. But to whom must I be loyal?

Crowfeather looked into Leafpool's eyes. He saw warmth and affection, floating around in those beautiful, bewitching, amber eyes. His heart began to thud just looking at her.

The two slipped out of the log, Leafpool had to be back at the camp by early dawn. Looking up, Crowfeather thought, Feathertail. Though I love Leafpool, I shall love you always.
