Jupiter Station Letters

In the episode Tuvix, Captain Janeway talked about letters that she and Tuvok exchanged while he was assigned to Jupiter Station. This is my take on what the letters might have said. Set before the series.

Dear Captain Janeway,

I have arrived at Jupiter Station, and I am getting settled in. Tomorrow morning, Admiral Johnson will brief me on the details of my duties. I look forward to the opportunity to upgrade station security. I am honored that you regard me in such high esteem as to have recommended me for this assignment. I will do my best to not disappoint you.

Dear Tuvok,

I am glad that you are settling in. I'm sure you'll be great. Those security officers can learn a lot from you.

Things are relatively routine back here on the ship. We ran into a nebula last week. It was beautiful and scientifically interesting. I took some pictures of it for you. I'm sure you'll appreciate its symmetry and order.

I hope your assignment continues to be rewarding. You are a valuable member of my crew, and a trusted friend. I look forward to the time when we are serving together again.

Thank you for the data on the nebula you encountered. I find that when I am presented with data on the logic of the universe, it is satisfying.

The security officers under my command are making rapid progress. My services here will likely only be needed for a short while longer.

I await my return to your ship. I find that my days feel incomplete without our evening cup of tea to discuss the events of the day.

Congratulations on your success. I'm glad you enjoyed the nebula pictures. Unfortunately, I don't have any new ones for you. We've been ferrying ambassadors back and forth all month. We're going to be dropping off a delegation on Earth in two weeks. Would you mind if I dropped in to see how you're doing?
