OK. I'm gonna try the fanfic100 challenge. This is good, isn't it? Me, who has no attention span. But anyway… a plot may arise later. Not yet, anyway. They'll jump around a lot in time. And there will be slash later on. Not for a while.
In the beginning.
Crowley could remember those days, when he'd first been sent up from Hell into the new Garden of Eden. For ages, he hadn't managed to do anything except sun himself on a rock. What did they expect? He was a snake. By very definition he needed to rest in the sun to stay alive.
Then they found him. The humans. Down Below, they were slightly incredulous at this new turn in the Ineffable plan, but none of them minded. If the big man upstairs wanted to make things with souls of their own, with the capacity for good or evil, that was up to him.
He hadn't really meant to tell her to take the apple. Ok, well, he had. Not his fault though. Even if he had told her that taking the apple was the only way of getting to Heaven.
When he'd told Aziraphale the whole story for the first time, he hadn't spoken to him for fifty years.
