A flash of red, a swirl of blue,
A blurry figure racing past
A headlong dash straight into danger
Adventure's pull is far too strong.
Death-defying, strange events
Running makes her heart beat fast
A twisting, turning pathway followed
Until she slams into a man
Her hand is grabbed, he whispers run
They tumble through the doors
A gasp of wonder fills the air
He yanks a purple lever and grins
At last she has a friend who's real.
To make her laugh and sometimes cry
In adventures through all space and time
Not a second wasted in her life
A life of dreams and wonderful things
She's the luckiest girl on Earth—
Her body may lie still in the bed,
But her mind is so alive!
