Authors note: This came to me as an idea when in my final exam, I loved the idea so much I thought hell! Why not write it up.
What if?
What if Lucrecia had returned Vincent's feelings, What if he had somehow forgiven her? What if Instead of Hojo, Vincent was Sephiroth's father? How different would the future have been?
Sephiroth would not have descended into insanity, he would not have been the hero everyone loved, and he would not be a SOLDIER. He would have had a childhood, something he probably craved. He would not have been subjected to constant experimentation and caused agonising pain. He would be a normal adult, not a superhuman, not a one winged angel. He could have had a family even and have settled down. If only the what if had happened. Vincent would not have gone into an emotional and depressing down spiral. He would not constantly pine for the woman he loved, as he would have had her. He would have a family to love and he would probably even smile and laugh. A concept, which is alien. He would still have been a Turk with a loving wife and son, he could have died defending the president or could have lived to fight another day; but we shall never know because the What ifs never happened.
How different would the future be, if the what ifs would have happened? How different would it be, if the what ifs had happened? Would it be positive or would it be negative? How different would are protagonists and antagonists be, if the what ifs would have happened?
