Lately everything had been going bad for Zuko. But right now him and his uncle were at a market getting some supplies. Uncle Iroh heard the singing and insisted on going to listen. They got to the inn that the singing was coming from and went in. Zuko rather unwillingly.
I see a boy, who's frightened
A young boy, with old eyes

The girl singing was in the front of the room, which had quite a few people in it. Iroh and Zuko stayed in the back. The girl had brown hair and eyes. She was wearing a green kimono. Her voice was beautiful and Zuko found himself listening to the song.

Zuko thought back to Lee, Song, and the Avatar… no Aang. He thought about how the water tribe girl offered help to his uncle recently. He had been too upset to realize that she might be able to help… He thought back to an offer of friendship he had refused.
