Disappointment
The woman in front of him trembled, her eyes beheld an emotion he'd seen many times. It was that kind of look that all of them always send in his direction even after he'd changed his ways radically. In his early childhood he'd felt hurt when they looked at him like that, later on he'd actually found it pleased him to know that they knew instinctively what a dangerous specimen of their species he was.
After he'd met him, the one who'd not looked away once he'd returned his gaze, that one whose eyes had betrayed the look of fear planted on his face, it was only then that he'd realized (after many long nights of pondering however) just how good it felt to be regarded as a person rather than a monster in a human body.
Of course it did not change the fact that he was exactly that but, and that was were his thoughts tracked back to the pretty kunoichi, his hopes had been sparked that there ought to be more than that one who'd help him indulge in that pleasure of at least feeling human.
It could have been her after all, he mused as a small amount of disappointment made itself known to him. It wasn't far off believing in her, after all that one was on her team, even a close friend or whatever they called themselves.
However the settling disappointment only managed to frustrate him further but he let his face display the same neutral look as always. He was the kazekage after all, he shouldn't let emotion, women or even worse both mixed together get to him. He was Gaara, the demon of the desert (or at least its container). He should not even allow himself to feel anything at all but remain objective. Then why did it bother him so much that her eyes were bright, glistening pools of fright?!
