Another Day
A/n: The lastest episode 'The Depths' got me thinking on what Helen was hiding. So I came up with this.
Summary: Will finally gets his answer on what Helen is hiding. [SanctuaryxEurekaxStargate Crossover]
1898 – London
Helen Magnus stood on the roof of the Sanctuary with James Watson as she buried her face into his chest. She had one hundred and thirteen years ahead of her and she wanted to change the past. She just wanted to pursue Nikola. However, she knew she couldn't do that and she needed to go into hiding. She wasn't looking forward to that. Not even after she found out she was pregnant. If she only knew she was pregnant she would have not came back. She took a deep breath and looked up at James.
"I need you to freeze my embryo…" she said
James studied Helen, for a moment before kissing her on the top of her forehead. "If this is what you want"
1970 – London
Helen wasn't supposed to come anywhere near the Sanctuary. However, she had been lonely. She got herself pets, but then they died. It was lonely and all she could think about was the child that she told James to freeze. She wanted it. She just wanted to hold a baby in her arms again. However, more importantly she just wanted to see the child that Nikola and her conceived. She entered the Sanctuary and found James.
"This is clearly unexpected Helen," James remarked as he studied Magnus a bit and realized that this wasn't his Magnus. Well, it was but in the future. "I thought we agreed that you were going on a long vacation?" James demanded.
"Oh I have been on an exciting vacation, but I want something" Helen remarked frowning. "I want you to inject me with my embryo again"
James looked at her with shock. "Which one?" he asked "The one from Druitt or the one from your future?"
"The one from my future…" Helen responded.
Eight months later…
James couldn't believe he was hiding this all from the Head of the Sanctuary network. He hated doing that he was hiding a time-traveler. He was lucky enough to have his own apartment that was across the street from the Sanctuary itself. He hid Helen from the future in that apartment. She had requested that she be monitored. Just one month to go and this would all be over. No more hiding. James and Helen were having breakfast in the apartment when there was a banging on the door. James got up and peeked through the peep hole and saw it was Tesla. He looked like shit. He quickly opened the door and as he opened the door Tesla had collapsed on the floor.
Helen stomach sank as she saw Nikola collapse to the floor. She quickly got up and wanted to assist, but her she stopped in her tracks as she rested her hand on her belly. The babies were kicking. James carried Nikola to the couch as he gave a quick gaze to Helen to leave the room. Helen did just that. She headed towards her room and sat down on the bed. The kicking was a little more intense today she placed her hands on the belly and rubbed it. "Shhh…" she began as "Daddy is here yes, but he cannot know about you not yet"
James had entered the room as he heard Helen talking. "Nikola is the father?" he asked.
Helen nodded. "Is he alright?" as she shifted positions on the bed. This was uncomfortable. Very uncomfortable.
"I'm not sure he needs blood," James said as he paused looking at her. "They are kicking more today aren't they?"
Helen felt a sharp pain. "Very hard today" she said as she smiled faintly and tossed James a pill container. "Give them to Nikola and he should be fine" she said as the sharp pain increased. This wasn't fun. She stood up to get more comfortable. However, as she did that her water broke. "Not now" she mumbled as she couldn't take it anymore. "They're coming" she said as she moved out of the bedroom. James didn't know what she was doing, but followed her as she stopped in front of Nikola. Nikola was out of it. She knew she shouldn't do this, but she didn't care. She kissed him on the lips and took his hand placing it on her belly as the sharp pains increased. She yelped and turned to James. "He needs to get out of here…" she said quietly as James looked at her.
"I know he needs to be out of here, but you're in labor and this will screw up the timeline" James warned.
She lowered her head down. "I know that James – take him to the Sanctuary I'll be right behind" as he released her hand from Nikola's and James did as he was told carrying the vampire to Sanctuary. Helen kept her word and was behind. However, she didn't remember much as she blacked out in the middle of the street. She awoke in the infirmary at the Sanctuary with James holding two babies.
"Congratulations," James said with a smile.
"Can I hold them?" she asked as James nodded and handed her the two babies.
"I never thought Nikola Tesla could make cute babies," James said with a grin.
"Me either" replied Helen as she smiled at her two boys. "How is he doing?" she asked about Nikola.
"I gave him a very high dose of sedation. He'll be out for a while" James replied shaking his head. "So how are you going to explain to him in the future about the twins – they'll be adults when you get back…"
Helen shook her head. "I'm giving them up for adoption" she said as she kissed the two boys on the forehead. "It's best that Nikola never knows about them and I know they'll have the vampire genes, but hopefully they'll be dormant" she said as she handed the boys to James.
James looked at Helen and then back at the twins. "Adoption it is."
"One more request James" Helen remarked…
"Yes?" asked James
Stargate Command
"Unscheduled offworld activation" replied Walter over the PA system as Hank Landry made his way to the control center.
"Anyone we know?" asked Hank
"David Parrish's IDC" replied Walter
"Get the medical team ready…" replied Hank as he headed for the gate room. He wasn't sure who had the biggest track record for getting injured. It always went to Jackson or Parrish. Hank sighed and waited for Parrish to show up. This had to be good.
Two people emerged from the event horizon. It was David Parrish and Lt. Colonel John Sheppard. Both of them were drenched in blood. John had a tight grip on Parrish before the both of them collapsed on the hard floor on top of one another. Landry watched and shook his head as the medical team took the two away. "Oh this is going to be good."
Eureka, Oregon
Ethan Edison hadn't been feeling good the last few days. He thought it was a nasty cold and that it would go away soon. He sat in his chair at Global Dynamics looking paler than ever. Zane Donovan gazed over at Edison shaking his head.
"You don't look so hot, why don't you go home?" Zane asked
Ethan gazed up at Zane shaking his head. "I'm fine I got to work on upgrading…" Ethan trailed off as he collapsed to the ground.
