I'll end it all…
'I'll end it all… I promised…'
Thunder rolled as rain fell down heavily on the 2 young boys. They were both standing in front of the beautiful garden, surrounded by the wet flowers. No guards, no others… they were completely alone. The other boy had his eyes closed, standing with his face perfectly peaceful. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at the person standing not far from him.
"Thank you…" he said softly and tiredly as he surveyed the other boy. The person standing in front of him had the opposite expression from him. The other boy was shaking, his hair and clothes wet and soggy from the rain, as though he had been standing there for several hours. And… he was crying. From rage or sorrow, no one can tell. And in his hands, was a sword, a sword held ready for an attack.
'I promised… I promised…'
"W-why are y-you thanking me?" he asked, his voice thick and hoarse. The rain continued to fall, more heavily than before. The others would be coming back soon. Maybe, if he stalled, maybe… but then the other boy began to speak.
"Because… you kept your promise." He smiled sadly at the shaking boy in front of him. No, he couldn't back out now, he knew he couldn't, he couldn't wait for the others to come and stop him, because this is what he wants. This is what the king wants. This is what Yuri wants.
'You must end it… End it now…'
"I-I…." he began but then Yuri looked at him, the once bright onyx eyes were blurred by haze. He had suffered so much. All of them knew he was going to die. For the past few weeks, their king had been suffering in immense pain. And one day when Gisela came out of the King's room in tears… they knew, that Yuri had little time to live. Everyone didn't understand. Their king was so young! How could this have happened?
And so one night, Yuri decided to end his kingdom's sufferings, and his own, and that's when he called him. That was when he promised the young teenage boy, that he would end his life himself.
'This is how it must end…'
Yuri held out a hand to Wolfram, and smiled his usual warm smile with a hint of sadness. "Please… do it now…" Then Wolfram's mind had gone blank, his eyes still filled with tears. It didn't matter what he wanted, for Yuri had decided. Wolfram ran towards Yuri, and then there was a flash of thunder…
'Goodbye, and thank you…'
The next thing he knew, he was kneeling in front of Yuri's body, clutching the young king's hand. Tears fell from his eyes as the rain continued to get worse… Suddenly he heard hooves, the others must be back, but he didn't move. He stayed by Yuri's side. Finally he heard hurrying footsteps and strangled cries. Suddenly people were surrounding him. He could hear Gretta crying, and voices questioning him. But all of that didn't matter because there was only one thing in his mind. Yuri Shibuya Furi Harajuko, the 27th Maou was dead. Dead by his hand. The realization hit him so hard that he found himself crying and hugging Yuri's body.
'I kept my promise Yuri, I ended your pain… I ended it all…'
