A/N: You should know who I own and don't
4-year-old Oxana sat at the window watching the snow fall on the crisp morning of December 15th. Her and her parents lived in the country outside of Paris, France (A/N: I don't take geography) in a large mansion. Oxana was very content with her life, her parents hadn't told her one thing that could have made her life much better: She was a princess. Her mother had been Grand Duchess Anastasia of Russia, but she forgot all of that when she was 8 and got amnesia. When she 18, she was now named Anya, she met Dimitri and Vlad, a couple of on-men, took her to Paris, where she found her grandmother. Anastasia had to choose between a life of royalty, or a life with Dimitri. She ended up eloping Dimitri but they were able to stay in France, where they had a beautiful daughter, Oxana. Oxana had looked exactly like her mother. She had the same red hair and the same blue eyes. Oxana sighed as she watched the snow fall as her mother walked in.
Anya: Oxana? What are you doing? I thought you'd be playing outside.
Oxana: I'll go outside after we decorate the tree.
Anya: Well first we need the tree and we still need to wait a while before papa and uncle Vlad to find one.
Oxana: But Sevastians' not out yet. He's probably busy.
Sevastian was an orphan who worked in the house next was originally from Russia, like Oxanas' parents. He came out to play with Oxana as often as possible since the family Sevasitian served only had one daughter, Augustine, who Oxana hated.
Anya: Can't you play by yourself?
Oxana: But I'll get bored and be back in about 5 minutes.
Oxana ran to the get her gray coat an red beret and slid it over her green velvet dress and ran out into the back. She started to make a snowball, then sadly she remembered, she had no one to throw them at. She started to walk back toward the house when something collided into the back of her head knocking her over. She immediately got up and started looking around for Sevastian, who she assumed threw it.
Oxana: Okay Sev. Where are you-AH!
She saw a white bat flying right in front of her face. She was terrified of bats, but this on had big pink eyes and was smiling. The bat started to look around and giggle innocently and Oxana started to think this bat was actually kind of cute.
Bat: Are you ok?
Oxana: Yeah I- did you just talk?
The bat nodded.
Bat: Yup! Names Bartok. Oh wow! I think I've seen you before, only you were taller. Might your mothers' name be Anastasia.
Oxana: Yes, that is my mothers name, and mine is Oxana. It's a pleasure to meet you Bartok. Wait. How do you know my mother?
Bartok: Let's just say I knew her.
Oxana: Come on! If you knew mama, I'll bet she'll be happy to see you again.
Oxana grabbed Bartok and started to run back to her house.
Bartok: Oxana, I don't think so.
Oxana stopped and looked weirdly at Bartok.
Oxana: Why?
Bartok: I'll explain later.
Oxana: Bartok? Do you have a home?
Bartok: No.
Oxana: Would you like one?
Bartok: Oh! Yes!
Oxana: Then tell me about my mother.
Bartok: We met when she was little when she was three (A/N: I don't know the life span of an albino bat). Oh! And we only met one time. So she probably won't remember.
The gullible four year old girl immediately bout Bartok's lie. Bartok hated the fact that he had to lie to such a sweet girl especially when she offered him a home. Oxana know knew that her parents wouldn't let a bat into their home.
Oxana: Oh! Ok. I guess you can still live with me. I can't leave a cute thing like you ou in the cold.
Bartok rested himself on Oxanas' shoulder as Oxana walked beck inside.
Oxana: Mama! I'm back in! I'll be right back down.
Oxan ran up to her room an Bartok flew off her shoulder.
Oxana: Be quite. I'll be back up in a little while.
Bartok: You don't have to worry about that!
Oxana: SHHHHHH!
Bartok: Oh right.
Oxana closed the door and walked down stairs and back to the window and Anya went to go sit with her daughter.
Oxana: It's so quiet. Where's Pooka?
Anya: I think he went with your father and uncle Vlad.
And he did. In the distance Oxana saw a little dog. And then saw two men in the distance who were
Oxana: They're back!
Oxana ran to open the door. A couple seconds later, a little dog ran into the house and sat on Oxanas' lap. Oxana immediately moved out of the way in order for her father and uncle to come in with the Christmas tree. Once the two men came in and put a giant tree on the floor. Once the did, Oxana ran into her fathers arms.
Oxana: Papa! I knew you would get us a giant tree! Didn't I mama?
Dimitri patted his daughters head and Anya walked up to them and gave them each a hug.
Anya: Yes you did sweetie.
Anya and Dimitri started to kiss and Oxana started to get out of her father arms.
Oxana: Gross!
And with that Oxana ran upstairs.
