What Do You See
What do you see through those obscure blue eyes?
Do you see hope, for me, perchance?
I beg you, do not palter.
Do you see love, for us? - perceive;
Afore I quail; I falter.
What do you seek through livid dreams?
Do you seek life, amongst barren faith?
Tell me, tell me! Awaken from your wraith!
Do you seek shelter, amongst the homeless dread?
Halt, thee; halt, thee! For you seek too far ahead!
For in my eyes I see them;
They're not too far, nay, they aren't that distant
For they are right here, just entangled in this instant
Of what I aspire, I have found them - in you;
Of what you desire - perchance they're in me, too?
For in your heart I have found them all;
My life, my home, my love ever after
Maybe a husband- a hope; a promising future.
For deep in your eyes, I see, dear Love;
A happiness, a bliss; clear as light from above.
Still I ask you this;
Do you not see through those eyes what I see?
Do you not know how I have pained for thee?
I love you, Dear Merry, through all your sadness and mirth;
I shall be all for you, Dear Merry, for all that it's worth.
