Well I have read a few others and I must say that they are rather
interesting so I thought I would post one myself and see how it works.
Prologue "I'll be home around eleven mother, now don't go anywhere and lock all the doors behind me," said Princess Sarah, the daughter of Jonathon and Thayet. Thayet although a beauty in her prime and a very strong willed and talented fighter, now had a disease, which left her weak and tired. Sarah was not a spoiled little girl that thought she had all the freedom in the world, quite the opposite actually but she just wanted to look after her mother. "Don't give me none of your cheek young lady and act properly. If your father gets back and hears you've been giving cheek again you'll be in for it!" "Why mother, what's he going to do? Put me on the rack? Hang me like some criminal? I don't think so. I just want to live ma." Thayet smiled to see Sarah still had her spirit as Thayet had thought Sarah had lost it when she herself lost her own. "Okay come kiss your mother goodbye and for the love of the goddess, stay out of trouble!" Sarah kissed her mother's cold cheek and felt tears welling in her eyes. She refused to cry in front of anyone and so left the house quickly. "Well well well, what have we here?" came the sinister voice of Rasputin, Roger's illegitimate son that no one knew about until he turned up on the doorstep of the palace a little over five years ago when Rasputin was thirteen. Sarah herself had been eleven at the time and had never trusted him. He was always leering at her with his tiny green eyes, lanky body and slight limp. Thayet had been worried and poor Alanna had been devastated. If it weren't for the treaty, Jon would have had him thrown out years ago, family or not. "Mind your business Rasputin and I shall leave you in one peace. Father's treaty or no, I will slice you into as many pieces as I see fit. I am a remarkable swordsman and I am excellent at unarmed combat. Should you feel I am lying I bid you take it up with the elders and see what they have to say about it." "Well surely princess, being the daughter of a knight of the realm and having such friends as Alanna the lioness, George Cooper the ex-rogue, Daine the wild magic mage and of course how could I forget Numair? I do not doubt they could save you in due course but how can they help you now?" He said and suddenly lashed out, his hand landing around her throat, squeezing the life out of her. She clawed at his hands but to no avail. She couldn't breathe but she was too stubborn to die this way.
* * * * * * * * * * As this is my first one I ask that you please put in reviews so that I can see if it is worth continuing. I feel slightly intimidated I admit as this is the first time I've don't this and it seems quite extroadinary.
