Arigato, Hinata-chan

Hinata fell on his knees on the grass. She had been practising almost whole day long, and she didn't have even aim to quit yet. She wasn't weak. Anything else, but not weak. That's what she was going to show her father.

Hinata watched the sunset for a moment and let her breath calm down. She awoke when she heard a rustle from the forest. "Are you still practising?" a boy's voice asked. Hinata stood up and turned around. She saw Shino standing between two big oaks. "I-I was going to quit for this day" Hinata said and looked at her feet. "Kurenai-sensei has something to tell to you", Shino said with an empty voice. Hinata nodded, collected her kunais and shurikens and then walked down a little path with her friend and team mate.

"S-Shino-kun?" Hinata asked after a long silence. The dark-haired boy raise his eyebrow questioningly. "Why do y-you still have those sunglasses? I mean, i-it's getting dark and..." The girl's talk interrupted when she saw that Shino had stopped walking. "Hinata-chan... It isn't anything special" he answered. Hinata was a little surprised when she heard Shino using that 'chan' adjunt. "But if you really want to know..." Shino continued and turned his gaze at the sky. Hinata nodded. "Many insects have really sensitive eyes. So have our clan's members. It's because of the insects in our body. You know what I mean?"

Hinata nodded again, now with a small smile. "Shino-kun, the sun has already set. Can I... see your eyes?" she asked hesitating. The boy took off his sunglasses, and carefully opened his eyes. Hinata let out a little gasp. Shino's eyes were brown, with a shade of gold. The corners of his eyes turned a little upwards. The boys gaze was warm.

"T-they're beautiful" Hinata whispered. A small smile sneaked on Shino's lips. "Thank you, Hinata-chan".
