"I'm sure you've seen what's happened to our people Glidden," the God spoke to his pet. "They weren't meant to befriend those beasts. They were supposed to murder them and prove themselves. And they were so close. A few more generations of suffering and they would have had easy lives. How dare he!" he screamed, throwing his dagger at the wall.
"Maybe they were just lonely. I've watched them with the dragons master. They play together, they fly together, they eat together, they even celebrate together." Glidden was trying his best to defend the vikings, their lives had gotten better since Hiccup found out they could work with the dragons.
"I don't care. They were supposed to be monsters, not pets. If they wanted pets we could have sent dogs or horses."
"We still can."
"No, No. That wouldn't work. Even i wouldn't give up a dragon for a dog. And the humans are even more selfish than we are. But maybe if we sent something else mythical? Just something more pure, not meant to be a monster, but a companion instead." Glidden nodded, listening to her owner's woes. The God got out of his throne. He started to pace the halls. What would he do? He needed to take the dragon's down, but it wouldn't be easy.
Than an idea occurred to him. He starred at his beautiful Griffin, his true companion. It had to work. If he could get the Griffins as their pets, maybe the dragons could than be booted out of the society.
Glidden starred back at him. At that same time the connection with her master brought the same idea into her mind.
"Would you be willing Glidden?"
The Griffin nodded her marvelous beak. "I would master."
"Not for much longer," he said, peaking through the clouds at Hiccup. With a snap Glidden disappeared into some orange sparkling smoke. He watched as the smoke traveled down through the clouds and into the Earth until he could see it no longer. "Bye Glidden. I'll miss you. Good luck."

OOC:
Well there it is folks. A beginning to my story. That was mainly in the view of one of the viking Gods, but it was no specific one. As well as his pet Griffin Glidden. The next chapters will be more Hiccup based, I promise.
I'd also like to say that I planning on incorporating the fans into this story a lot. Any ideas posted in reviews will be taken into consideration and if I use them, credit will be given. Also, i will be holding polls with every chapter. Some may have major plot decisions while some may just be names. And I'll stay faithful to the polls. So, on that note the first poll is up. Vote on it. Also subscribe to the story so you don't miss anything! Next chapter tonight.
