TITLE SUCKS, I KNOW, JUST IGNORE THAT BIT ;)
AN: Yay! My second fanfic! I am in the process of writing this fanfic, whereas my first one I had it completed already :) So do expect delays in updating the chapters, because I get homework and all that jazz :P
George sighed, closing the Skiving Snackbox, after trying to work out a new recipe for a nosebleed nougat. Fred had successfully rendered himself and some first-years in the Hospital Wing after a batch of Puking Pastils went… well… an understatement is saying that it went 'wrong.' He placed the snackbox on the table, and took out his Quidditch Through the Ages book. George adored Quidditch, although he found it annoying that his homework got in the way of practise. He was on the Gryffindor school team, and was a beater alongside his twin brother, Fred. George let out an exasperated groan as he realised he still had Transfiguration homework. He decided to ignore it, and just deal with the consequences. Gathering his things, he trudged upstairs to the boys' dorm. He heard a loud scream from the common room and hastily threw his belongings onto his bed. Sprinting down the stairs, and jumping the last few, he arrived at the scene of commotion. Ron was screaming his head off at what seemed to be a huge spider dangling above his head. Hermione and Ginny were hardly concealing their laughter behind their hands, both turning as red as tomatoes. Harry wasn't even trying to conceal his, just trying to hold up a shaking hand to cast a spell to rid Ron of the spider.
"What the-" George cried, lifting up his wand and muttering a simple counter-spell. By this time Harry was on the floor clutching his stomach.
"Ha-You-Hah-Thought-Hahahaaa!" Ginny squeaked falling down beside Harry and rolled on the floor next to him.
"WHAT THE BLOODY HELL WAS THAT?" Ron bellowed, although his voice was slightly raspy from screaming.
"It wasn't a spider, Ron!" Hermione screeched, "It wasn't a spider!" she repeated, through giggles.
"WHAT WAS IT THEN?" he yelled, facing her.
"I don't know, I guess it was one of Fred and George's pranks!" Hermione smiled, winking at George. George grinned and beckoned to her.
"You set this up, didn't you?" he whispered into her ear. His breath sent shivers down her spine, yet she didn't know why. She faced him and looked right into his gleaming hazel eyes.
"Of course," she smirked.
George didn't know why but when he lay in bed that night his thoughts drifted to Hermione. He didn't know she could be so cunning, and he seriously didn't doubt that that was the first time she had tricked someone. He smiled as he thought about how close they had been. A light suddenly snapped on in his head. Why was he thinking about Hermione? He frowned and turned over, flicking his thoughts over the day's events. Yet it always came back to her, and her beautiful features. How it was inches away from his. With that thought, he drifted off to sleep feeling very content.
Hermione tossed and turned, thinking about George. She had had a crush on him since last year, and had gotten quite close with him. She only hoped that he felt somewhat the same way. Frowning, she chuckled to herself at how much she doubted a handsome prankster like himself would fall for a bushy-haired, bucked-tooth bookworm like her. Grinning at how impressed he had been with her prank she fell into a deep sleep, dreaming about him.
Thanks for reading! Please R&R - I need tips! Also, I'm trying to go somewhere with this fanfic, unlike my first one which is ALL fluff :P I hope the characters aren't too OOC x
