Snowglobe

„We can't keep it, it's too big to take it with us", the boy's mom said. "It's okay, he's going to feel great here, and we will take care of him as much as possible and protect him from any danger." The snow outside the window is getting stronger, and the horizon seems to be getting darker and more sorrowful every second. "Mom, please! I don't want to leave Bully!"

Bully looked sad, his head was almost touching the ceiling, his eyes were glaze and his fire-red skin was becoming more and more white. I always hated this part; I could sometimes even feel the mournfulness of all the children leaving their most-loved creatures here. "Please mommy, we can take him to grandma with us!" his eyes were getting wet. "I won't leave without Bully, he's my only frie-". "Enough.", his father shouted in a deep, mature voice. "Go to the car. Now" The boy immediately stopped, staring with big eyes from his friend to his father, sobbing. Suddenly everything went quiet. The only noise was coming from outside, generated by the now heavy and dark snowstorm.

"Please go, sweetheart", his mother whispered, clearly audible in the giant entrance hallway. The boy couldn't stop crying, but after several minutes he began to move very slowly towards the entrance doors, not wasting a single glance at me or his friend. That kid reached the maximum of his physical treatment. He was done.

"Trust me, your friend is going to be fine!" I shouted down the hallway to make him feel better, but he ignored every single word I said. "I swear…" The boy's father nodded at me, and the parents started to leave slowly through the hallway. Bully was still standing at the exact same spot where the boy had told him to go. "I'm sorry, pal."

The next day Bully was still standing there, strong and colorful as an imaginary friend of a creative child could be. Outside it was still snowing, and the snow became more and more demonic from day to day.
