Turtle Cupcakes

"Hey, guys!" April yelled cheerfully as she walked into the lair.

"Hey, April!" Don was the first to come and greet his crush but the others soon followed.

"What's up?" Leo asked casually.

"I brought some snacks I'd like you to try." April announced and before she knew it she was squealing in surprised as Mikey swung her around in a big hug.

"You're the best!" the youngest turtle cheered with a bright smile but quickly out her down when he noticed the glare Don was giving him.

"No need to be jealous, lover boy." Raph whispered teasingly to Don who turned bright red.

"I'm not jealous!" he hissed back.

"What are you guys talking about?" April asked, completely oblivious on what they were saying.

"Nothing." the both said.

"So… What did you bring?" Leo asked curiously.

"First to the table!" the girl ordered and the turtles simply obeyed.

"I think you guys will really like this!" she chirped as she stood by the table while the guys were all sitting down, looking up at her with curious eyes.

"Spike too?" Raph then asked as he petted hit pet turtle's head, being somehow almost as painfully innocent as Mikey could sometimes be.

"Uhm… Sure…" April mumbled as she had no idea if the only normal turtle would also like it.

"Well? Tell me already! What did you bring?" Mikey asked impatiently.

April rolled her eyes for a second but the smiled again.

"I brought…" she started slowly as the guys leaned closer.

"Turtle cupcakes!" April screamed and she opened the box she had with her to show the contents but she was froze when all the guys started screaming.

"You monster!" Mikey yelled.

"I thought you were our friend, April!" Don cried, looking heart-broken.

"Don't worry, Spike! I won't let her get you!" Raph yelled at his pet which he held in front of his face.

"Let's get out of here!" Leo ordered and all turtles run away, screaming like little girls and paying no attention to their shocked sensei when they run past him.

Splinter shook his head at his sons and the turned to April who looked confused and upset.

"May I know what has happened here, child?" the rat calmly asked.

"I brought turtle cupcakes but before I got to show them they run away." April pouted as she pulled a cupcake out that was covered in white icing and had small pieces of candy on it that formed a small turtle together.

At that Splinter couldn't help but let a chuckle escape him.

Upon noticing April's confusion he explained it to her.

"My sons are wonderful ninjas but they are still a little too naïve."

Understanding what was going on the girl's eyes widened.

"Oops…" she mumbled as she looked down at her cupcakes again.

Seeing her red face made Splinter chuckle again before his eyes traveled over to the cupcakes.

"Huh? Would you like one?" April asked when she noticed the rat staring at her treats.

"Yes, thank you." Splinter said as he took a cupcake she held out to him and after giving her a gentle pet on the head he walked off while she went to surge for the turtles with her box of cupcakes in her arms so she could explain everything to the guys.
