First fan fiction ever written by myself. This is the first short chapter of a story that I'm not one hundred percent sure of where it's going. All I know is that it has to deal with Darquesse, Lord Vile, and the Unnamed. Not exactly sure where it takes place in the series. I suppose sometime after Valkyrie finds out about the Lord Vile thing. So yeah, whatever. Just throwing this out there by the way. If you hate this fan fiction, but have no suitable excuse to explain why, then please don't waste my time by commenting on you're dislike. I only accept constructive criticism.

Valkyrie stepped out of the Bentley and slammed the door. Skulduggery stiffened. "Please be easy on my car." Valkyrie scowled. "My head is throbbing, incessantly and you're worried about your car." Skulduggery didn't bother to feel guilty and simply answered, "Your head hurting is nothing to take out on my car. My car isn't the one who flung a bicycle at you."Valkyrie was about to answer this with a snide remark, when an irritatingly cheery voice called out. "Good morning, Mr. Pleasant!" Skulduggery and Valkyrie turned sharply to see a rather lovely dark, curly haired girl, who looked to be in her late teens, with a stunning smile. Skulduggery answered back. "Good evening, Lucid. Because that's what it is, you know. Evening. Not morning." The girl, Lucid, narrowed her eyes but her smile did not waver. "Yes, well, it hardly matters, really. So long as I know what time it is.""Yes, well, just thought I'd remind you, again.""Yes, well, in that case I should remind you that I don't care so there's no point."Skulduggery made a sound like clearing his throat."Yes, well, all right then."Lucid nodded in contentment and then asked, "May I ask to meet your friend?"Valkyrie, caught a tad off guard from the previous bickering, stuttered off, "M-My name is Valkyrie Cain. Nice to meet you." Lucid, being across the street and therefore could not shake her hand, bowed slightly and said, "The pleasure is mine miss Valkyrie Cain. I'm Lucid Kook. A bit of an oxymoron, I know."Valkyrie, not sure what to make of it all, bowed slightly and quickly back, in order to be polite. Without another word, Lucid turned to Skulduggery, dipped her slightly, and retreated to her own house just a small ways down the Valkyrie and Skulduggery had made their way into Skulduggery's house, Valkyrie asked, "So who was that?"Skulduggery hung his coat on the coat rack. "That was Lucid Kook, an ambidextrous elemental and shape shifter, who doesn't think I know she's and ambidextrous elemental shape shifter. She used to work for the sanctuary but now takes on various mundane jobs. She's very charming. Very polite. A bit awkward sometimes, but only, I think, because she thinks I'm mundane. I met her after I got the façade tattoo. Figured I could be a bit more social with the neighbors then." Valkyrie raised an eyebrow. "I though your face changed every time you used your façade?" Skulduggery chuckled at this. "Yes, but I don't think she seems to notice, at all."With that, the subject was dropped from lack of anything interesting to say about it and began to talk about the bicycle that had struck Valkyrie in the forehead.

A bit short but it continues into a longer story…Whatever. I apologize if there are any grammatical errors, my spell check doesn't check for those. It was a tad bit fast pace, but the reasoning for that is that, that is not necessarily the scene I am looking forward to writing. I'm trying to pick it up to the interesting part or I'll get bored and then won't write anything at all. So, hope you liked it and goodbye.
