The New Star

Snake was sitting in his Director's chair with the big gold star the back, when Otacon told him the horrible news...

"Yeah, bad news Snake..." Otacon was saying meekly. "You know how Hideo Kojima said he'd never direct another Metal Gear? Well, he, uh... meant it this time..."

"What?" Snake said, shocked. In all his days as a special agent, Snake had never heard anything so—so crazy! "So, who's the new rookie?"

Otacon shook his head. "This new young director. I forget what her name is."

"It's a she?!"

"Snake," Otacon said with a sigh, "you still haven't gotten over that Meryl thing, have you?"

"I don't want to talk about it," Snake replied in a growl.

Otacon became serious. "Uh, Snake? I hate to break it to ya, but they... chose a new star... for the next Metal Gear."

Snake jumped out of his chair and grabbed Otacon by the front of his shirt. "It's not Jack, is it?"

"You mean Raiden? No, I don't think she's ever heard of him." Otacon shook his head. "It's someone by the name of Agent Duck."

Snake cocked an eyebrow. "Exactly who is this... Duck?" He couldn't help but laugh. "Who the hell would have a code name like that?"

"Snake? He's right behind you."

Surprised, Snake spun around and stared. There, in HIS Director's chair, smoking HIS cigarettes, wearing HIS lucky blue bandanna sat a white duck.

The duck flapped his wings in greeting, accidentally catching his feathers on fire. In pain, he shouted, "AFLAC!!"

All right, I don't know much about "Metal Gear," but my friend, Grey Fox Zero, does. I decided to write this after a few "Aflac" jokes at the expense of Snake. Anywho, thanks Grey Fox for all the help with this one!
