All he can think about is Itachi. It's quite a dark obsession, and he knows it, but he can never think of anything else these days, nothing at all.
He looks at himself in the mirror and sees Itachi, breathes and it's Itachi he's breathing, tastes nothing but Itachi, thinks, hears, smells only Itachi and it's killing him. Slowly, but surely, it's killing him.
And he can think of nothing but Itachi, nothing but his name from deceptively soft lips and the tickling sensation of silky black hair on his skin and it's killing him.
It's Itachi in his dreams and in his waking dreams, always like he's just one step behind and destined never to catch up until the man dies and when he thinks of that, his heart nearly stops cold. This obsession is killing him, and he can do nothing to stop it.
He's lost to the past, lost to memories of things forbidden that never really happened at all but he wishes had and he's drowning in it. Itachi is there but not and it's so vivid he might as well be and it's killing him, but all he can think about is Itachi.
He might be dreaming, or even dead by now and he wouldn't know, because nothing crosses his mind but what never was in this fabricated world he's built for himself with nothing but Itachi in it. He refuses to see the truth and he deludes himself, day in and day out and there's nothing anyone can do because it's killing him.
The truth he refuses to see is that Itachi is dead, the very life he loved so much stolen by his own hands and it's a dark, dark obsession, he knows, but can't stop it because he's consumed by it. And maybe he's dead, too, drifting in the endless sea of his own obsession, lips still burning from a hundred kisses that never happened, thinking of nothing but Itachi.
If he isn't dead yet, it's killing him, and there's nothing anyone can do because his world is Itachi and nothing more.
Well? Like? Don't? Review and let me know!
