Crumbling love
'Love me' he pleaded looking at the man before him 'I can't do this anymore, I can't just not try' a small whimper escaped his lips, his tear stained face not moving to look away, his bloodshot eyes finding the others grey one and holding the gaze, 'I need you, I love you!' he cried out.
He had always been a smiling beacon of hope within the village of shinobi where love and tenderness was rear within the ranks. He was there for many as support and offered unconditional love to a blond-misfit whom without that support could have caused irreversible damage to the whole village.
The man before him sighed and turned his head not wishing to look at the tear soaked face any longer, 'I'm sorry, I can't do that.' He replied and took a step back, 'I don't love you.'
'No!' the other screeched, his voice cracking from arguing with the man.
'That's a lie, I know you do' he whispered now from his position on the floor fresh tears rolling down his cheeks.
The others eye widened slightly at the outburst but it went unnoticed by the tanned man. The pale man knew that there was no kind way he could reiterate the point but he needed to get it across so the other could pick himself up.
'No it isn't, I do not love you, never have and never will.' The pale man said looking back towards the weeping man on the floor before turning and leaving the other behind with the entrails of his transportation jutsu.
The tan man rocked himself even hours after he was left alone, the tears still falling, for once not caring who saw him. He didn't have anything left to loose.
He had waited so long and now it was off his chest, out in the open for all to see. He had caused more pain for himself but he knew the answer deep in his heart and clung to it. He held on tightly to the only thing that kept him alive and slowly he turned in on himself leaving only a shell behind.
A shell that created a seamless mask that hid the crumbling love in his heart.
