She was so beautiful, so unique...so everything.

Shane cried out as Skyla's face popped into his mind and he fell off his skateboard. One month ago his life had changed so much, by a woman he knew less than a day.

Dustin helped him up, "You ok bro?"

Shane forced a smile, "Yeah just fumbled."

"Hate to tell you this but you bombed, Shane this has never happened to you."

Dustin I'm fine, I really am."

Dustin walked into Ninja Ops, "Sensei have you noticed something different about Shane?"

"Yes Dustin I have."

"Are those powers hurting him? I mean the newer ones?"

"No he simply misses Skyla that's all."

Dustin looked confused, "How come he's been affected so much?"

"She was a part of his life even when he wasn't aware."

"What can we do?" Dustin asked concerned.

"He'll talk when he is ready." Sensei replied serenely.

Shane walked along the beach; Skyla's beauty was constantly in his mind and her courage, as well braving danger so he could have her powers. Suddenly he wasn't alone.

"Vexacus I thought I smelled something fishy."

"You know what I'm here for ranger."

Shane smiled, "You'll never get it, Ninja Storm Ranger Form!"

Within moments he was in his ranger suit and the battle was on, just then the other rangers showed up just as Shane was about to call the battlizer.

Vexacus stepped back, "I'll be back for those powers!" Then he vanished in a beam of light.

Shane demorphed, "I'll be waiting."

The rangers watched him walk off, "Wow I think he fell for her." Blake said.

Shane walked into Ninja Ops, "Sensei I need to talk to you."

Sensei looked up, "Of course Red Ranger."

"It's Skyla why can't I stop thinking of her?"

"She's been part of your life for years and she lives on within you, give it time and soon your wounds will be healed, because she is with you always."

"Thank you Sensei."

Hours later Shane walked to the spot where he had met Skyla twice before, "I miss you." He whispered.

"I am with you always." Her voice came out of nowhere.

"Skyla?" Suddenly she was there before him dressed in the same clothes she had been wearing when they met the last time.

"Yes Shane it's me." Shane felt his heart lift and in that instant he knew he loved her.

They embraced, "I'm trying to take care of your powers."

"I know you are that is why I gave them to you."

"Are you real?" He whispered.

"That is up to you to decide Shane, but I'll never be really gone I'm with you always, you're my destiny as I am yours."

She rose up as he lowered his head to hers and their lips met in a gentle kiss.

Shane opened his eyes, he was in his bed and his clock said two a.m. It had been a dream? But he could still feel her body in his arms, his lips on hers. Her black hair and dark eyes swam in his vision.

He turned on the lights and saw he was still fully dressed and his clothes had leaves on them and grass stains. It had been real?

Her voice came again, "I'm always with you."
