She comes out of the dressing room wearing a pair of red boxer shorts with little black hearts all over them and a white tank top. She strikes a pose in the doorway and smiles at her reflection in the mirror on the wall. "What do you think," she asks tilting her head to the side before turning towards Veronica.
"I think if you were aiming for sexy you kind of missed the mark."
Lily laughs and shakes her head sagely. "They're not for me Veronica. I'm thinking about getting them for my boyfriend."
"But Logan hates red?"
"Please, Logan was so last week. I've moved on to bigger and better things."
Lily holds her hands up in a crude gesture and Veronica grapples at her in disbelief. "Who?" she cries in surprise, covering her mouth when the question comes out a little louder than she intended.
"I'm not ready to make that public knowledge just yet but rest assured Veronica Mars when I do…it'll cause one hell of a scandal." Lily replies with a wink before disappearing back into the dressing room.
When she reemerges again she's back in her pep squad uniform and the boxers are no where to be found. "You don't think your new beau would have approved of a novelty gift?" Veronica questions.
"Oh, no he's totally going to love it." Lily answers cracking open her purse just enough for Veronica to see the red and black material that's tucked inside.
"Lily!" Veronica gasps. "We can't shoplift, my father's the sheriff."
"It won't matter as long as we don't get caught." Lily explains nudging Veronica towards the main door.
