Sonic the Hedgehog took a gulp of water from his canteen. He smiled at Blaze the Cat, Silver the Hedgehog, and Shadow the Hedgehog. "That makes five times I've won." He beamed at a frustrated Shadow.

"You're lucky I'm tired…" he seethed and sat down.

"I thought the 'Ultimate Life-form' was unbeatable?" Sonic teased. Silver smiled and Blaze smirked.

Shadow growled as a response. He murmured an inaudible "Chaos Control…!" and appeared behind Sonic. "Boo." Shadow whispered into Sonic's ear.

"Ahh! DAMN IT!" Sonic jumped back and Blaze caught him. "Thanks Blaze…" he said with no breath.

She gave him a rare smile and went back to her emotionless face. "No problem. But you owe me."

Sonic sighed. "What do you want now?"

"Oh, nothing yet." She said and walked to a bench and sat down.

"Sonic!" someone shouted from afar. Another voice said, "Oh Mr. Sonic!"

"Hey Tails, hey Cream. Oh, and hi Cheese." Sonic said to Miles "Tails" Prower, Cream the Rabbit, and Cream's pet chao Cheese.

"Chao!" Cheese said happily.

"Miles…Cream…" Shadow said to them without looking.

"Hi Shadow…Don't call me Miles. Please." Tails replied a little annoyed.

Cream beamed. "Blaze!" she shouted as she ran over to Blaze. Cheese began to follow. Tails, whom was equally excited that Blaze was in thier demension, followed.

Sonic sat on the warm grass of the summer day. 'Too bad Knuckles is busy,' he thought, 'but I respect how he stays to his responsibility.' And with that he closed his eyes and began to rest.

After about 20 minutes, Sonic awoke with a start. Shadow, Silver, Blaze, Cream, and Tails were all talking about something important, apparently. "Shh!" Sonic said and perked his ears so he could listen. Everyone else did the same.

Rumble...rumble..

Boom!

The ground shook slightly.

Cream and Cheese wailed in fear. Blaze quickly comforted them.

Boom! The ground shook again, this time more powerful.

Sonic stood up. "It's coming from…the north…" Suddenly he was shocked. 'Angel Island!!!' he thought.

Suddenly, Amy Rose was running and crying. She ran and hugged Shadow. "Oh…Shadow…Help…scary…" she said while crying.

"What's the matter, Amy?" Tails asked.

"M-my house was destroyed..." she wailed and Cream looked horrified.

Shadow turned red as Amy squeezed him tighter. "Um...I-It's okay A-Amy." He said, stunned.

Sonic grabbed Tails and ran towards Angel Island, where Knuckles the Echidna and Rouge the Bat were guarding the Master Emerald.

BOOM!

The ground shook again, making Sonic fall. Silver, Blaze, Cream, and Shadow were coming towards them, so Sonic stayed where he was.

KAA-BOOM!

Suddenly, in the sky were Knuckles and Rouge, whom were apparently . Both unconscious, they landed near Sonic and Tails. "Knuckles! Rouge!" Tails and Sonic shouted and ran to them.

"Master…doomed…Egg...Nega..." Knuckles said weakly and tried to sit up as Sonic examined Rouge.

KAAAAAA-BOOOOOM!!!!!!

Suddenly there was a white light, some evil laughter, then blackness.

And so we begin.
