Once upon a time, there was an angel.

Now I know what you're thinking. Angels from Heaven, guarding the gates that allow people to enter the afterlife. Angels with white robe, blonde hair, golden wings, and a shining golden halo that marks their rank as Guardians.

But no. The angel that I'm talking about never belonged to Heaven. She never really believed in it, in the first place. Yes, she wore white. Yes, she had wings, though not golden. She never had blonde hair, and she never guarded any gate.

So now you may be wondering: if this is true, how and why did she become an angel?

Well, that's where I come in. Let me tell you a story. A story that continues to carve itself into the history of Shinobi, and those of us who held this angel's spirit inside of her. Let me tell you, as she once told me…
