A/N: Same general idea revised because I couldn't get the title line out of my head. Sorry about the stupid page breaks, the site smushes spaces together.
Dream, bruised beauty. (Revise)
Dream while hands wander a broken road
Dream while touch by touch they pave your nightmare
Feel his words clench tight at your throat
Knock harshly at your peace
Whisper dark confessions
leave bruises on your dreams.
"Time for bed now, child."
Dream a world to your feet
Dream his away
Practiced assurances fall easily from between greedy lips
Silken honey from a treacherous tongue
Nestling into your beauty
Caressing your innocence
Undressing your soul.
"Child, your a beauty."
Dream on your secret
Dream through the shame
Deceitful intentions, lost,
nipping at naive trust
given wisdom under the guise of Him.
"The Lord won't mind."
Dream while hands wander a broken road
Dream while touch by touch they pave your nightmare
Dream a world to your feet
Dream his away
Dream on your secret
Dream through the shame
Dream, bruised beauty, dream.
A/N: Forgive me, it has been about a year since I have tried my hand at writing poetry.
