A/N: I'm back. After one year's silence I'm back with this poem. It's from Lisbon's point of view. Yep, it's poem so it's short and it has many ways to interpret it. I hope that you would tell me how you interpret this one. It's always refreshing to hear different ways to interpret the same poem. Maybe I'll tell you how I understand it. :)
Shadow of Light
I'm standing here in the light Can't you see how much I care? I've been here for you so long Once you were so full of life I have seen the worst of you
but you don't see me, am I right?
You walk past me into the night
and I know that I lost this fight.
I know the risks but still I dare
to love you deep inside my heart
even if you don't see that part.
that I can not be totally wrong.
I am invisible for your eyes
so you just keep telling me lies.
but now you only miss your wife.
"It's not your fault", you once said
but still I'm the one who has to pay.
and it really changed my point of view.
I'm falling in the darkness of night
- maybe I was just a shadow of light.
