I don't mind negative reviews as I haven't written anything for a long time and I could use the advice.

READ ON!

...

"Daddy can we go to the movie please daddy" an eight-year-old boy was gripping the side of the table where his father was seated with piles of papers scattered across the table.

"Max you know how busy my job is why don't you run to your friend Ben's house and let your dad do his job" the boy stomped to the front door "that's what you always say. You never seem to have time for me! Ben says his father always spends time together" "now Max..."

"I WISH HE WAS MY DAD INSTEAD OF YOU! YOU NEVER CARED ABOUT ME!"

Tears streamed down the boy's face as he ran out the house letting the door slam behind him followed by deadly silence

"Max?"... "MAX!"

...

Meanwhile, tears still were streaming out as the boy stormed through the busy streets of Manhattan feeling sorry for himself.

He was feeling so sorry for himself that he didn't realize he was walking into an alleyway until it was too late.

Three men surrounded him causing him to back up further

"Well, well look at what we have here."

A tall muscular man was standing in front of the other two, blowing a thick cloud of smoke.

The boy backed up as far as he could until his back was touching the wall. His eyes widened and his body shook with fear. The man edged closer and smiled, showing off a row of yellow crooked teeth.

"I am pretty sure a man that can afford to keep his son fed can help buy us our…" before he could finish his sentence there was a loud UMP followed by another 'what the!'

The man turns around only to be faced with a fist.

"Dad" the boy ran forward tears running down his face again but before he could run into his dad's open arms, a loud Shot rang out.

"DAD!"

...

Max woke in cold sweat he could still hear the gunshot. Tears threatened to spill out as painful memories surged forward. Max wiped his eyes and shook the memories back to the deep dark corners of his mind and looked at his clock.

The time read 5:00 am

'Oh, goody another AMAZING day at school' Max thought as he dragged himself to the showers.
