Chris Halliwell was a witch.
That was what people overlooked about him. They looked at Wyatt and saw the Twice Blessed, the most powerful being in all the magical world, and then they looked at Chris and saw only that he was not as powerful as his brother.
Christoper Perry Halliwell was a witch.
He didn't pretend to be anything more than that, he used the powers he had the way any other witch would. His whitlighter side offered him the ability to orb, and his Elder heritage gave him the ability to use electricity. But that wasn't what he was, those parts of him just gave him a somewhat bigger arsenal than other witches had.
His telekinesis was well developed, and it had been obvious from he was a child that it was his dominant power, but his powers weren't what made him a witch, they weren't what made him a pure descendant of Melinda Warren.
Wyatt couldn't brew potions or cast spells nearly as well as Chris could, he couldn't make up that crucial spell needed to vanquish a demon like Chris could. Wyatt was all instinctual magic, he was the Twice Blessed, the most powerful magical being in all the world. What the world didn't seem to realise that it wasn't having power that made someone important, they could not see past the ultimate power before them, power that was far more easily corrupted than any other.
Chris was a witch.
Which meant he'd had to work hard for every scrap of power he held; he had to rely on his wits, on his mind when he was in danger. The power he had inside him, the one passed down through the generations, was not active; it was not his telekinesis, nor his orbing, nor his elder powers. His power came from the true form of witchcraft, from potions and spells, from his own determination.
Christopher Halliwell was a witch.
And he was glad. Because it meant he would always be able to stand against evil, no matter who or what it was. He had worked too hard for the magic he possessed, and in it's own way, his magic was even more powerful than Wyatt's.

A/N: Still on my charmed kick (Soul Resonence will be updated soon, I just had to get this out). I have no idea what this is supposed to be, just a personal view of Chris and his powers I suppose. Let's say it's a realisation that he isn't really standing in his brothers shadow after all. Chris always struck me as more of a witch than a whitelighter, I think TCO's and others would make the mistake of veiwing Chris's powers like they do Wyatt's because he's half elder/whitelighter too, and of course because he was posing as a whitelighter when he came back in time.
I'm not one of those who thinks that Chris is as strong or stronger than Wyatt power wise I mean. In fact, it's his lack of power that gives him his true strength. Chris is a witch, that I think is the be all and end all of who he truly is. Man I need to stop ranting, I make no sense!
