Author's Note: This story was written for SweetestIrony's Gohan/Videl week 3.0. The starter sentence was "And as s/he sunk deeper into...", which conjures up images of daring escapes from quicksand for me, but the theme of the day is "water", so I guess that means today is a watery adventure.

The story has Gohan and Videl swimming in the waters outside Kame House, like Gohan and Krillin did in one of the filler episodes. I completely forget if they wore snorkels or if they just held their breath for a super-long time. Also, I forget how they were able to talk underwater. I guess it doesn't matter all that much, because the story is super-short.

And as she sunk deeper into the water, she started to get a little annoyed.

"Gohan, where are you taking me?" Videl asked.

"It's not much farther from here," Gohan said. "Come on!"

She rolled her eyes and swam after the enthusiastic Gohan. They went deep through a cave, thick with life, until they reached the thing Gohan wanted to show Videl.

She gasped when she saw it.

"It's the largest pearl in the world," Gohan said. "Krillin and I found it here, years ago."

"It's beautiful..." she said.

"Not as beautiful as you are," he said.

Videl punched him. "That's the cheesiest thing you've ever said," she said.

Gohan grinned sheepishly.

Videl smiled at her boyfriend. "Thanks."

"For complimenting you, or for showing you the pearl?"

"Both."
