Kin and Kon was away at Mexico for a month so that left Corey alone with Laney. The two were bored of practicing without the usual energy from the missing members. So instead of practicing one cloudy day, they decided to go to the park. Laney's heart was beating quickly from being alone with Corey for so long.
"Hey, want some ice cream Lanes?" Corey asked.
"No thanks." Laney said. Somehow talking to him was harder than usual. Maybe being alone with him was causing her to get too self-conscious.
As Corey was buying the ice cream for himself she plopped down on a bench near a field filled with beautiful flowers. For a while she twirled a small white one in her hands.
Corey seemed to appear out of nowhere with a popsicle in his hands. "Hey Lanes, do you know how to make a flower wreath?" Corey said.
Laney was startled and dropped her flower. "Uh, no I don't Core." she answered.
"Let me make one for you Lanes. It's kinda tricky but it turns out really pretty in the end." Core said. He handed Laney his popsicle and picked a few flowers. He began twisting and weaving them into a wreath.
"Wow Core you're really good at this!" said a surprised Lanes.
"Thanks Lanes!" Corey replied. He continued weaving the flowers.
Laney was transfixed and stared at his hands. "His fingers are so long and slender." she thought. Pretty soon the popsicle in her hand began melting. "Core you might want to eat your popsicle now." Laney said.
"Sorry to ask you Lanes, but could you put that into my mouth? My hands are busy at the moment." Corey said.
Blushing a little she took his popsicle and inserted it into Corey's mouth.
"Thanks Lanes!" Corey said, but his words were muffled by the popsicle.
Laney got up to wash her hands and returned to find her wreath complete. It was really pretty with its mostly white flowers and red poppies weaved into it. A note was scrawled into the dirt in front of the bench.
"Will be back soon" it read.
With a sigh Laney sat down and held the wreath. It was thick with flowers and was carefully made. Before she knew it she was sleeping.
When Corey came back he saw Laney asleep with the wreath in her hands on her lap. With a warm laugh he took the wreath in her hands and placed it on her head. He sat down next to her and looked at the large bouquet of flowers in his hand. He had picked them from a different field in the park where the flowers were larger and better. The flowers were white and red just like the one in the wreath. He placed it in Laney's hands and smiled.
He took out his phone and took a picture of her. At the sound of a camera clicking Laney woke up with a dazed look.
"Are you awake now my bride?" Corey said with a warm smile.
"Bride?" Laney said sleepily. Some stray flowers from her wreath covered her face a little. She looked down at her hands and saw the bouquet. Her eyes widened and she looked up at Corey. He was smiling and seemed to be holding back a laugh.
"Core! When did this happen?" Laney said, fully awake now.
"Obviously when you were asleep dummy." he said with humor.
Before she can say anything Laney found a pair of lips on her. Corey's lips. She blushed and couldn't think straight. Her heart was beating so fast that she thought Corey could feel it.
After the kiss she still wasn't thinking straight. Without meaning to she said, "I do".
"Silly Lanes, you were suppose to do that before the kiss!" Corey said with a laugh.
He leaned in and kissed her again.
I usually write fanfics to help me from going fangirl crazy, but I think I'm just making it worse. XD
