Heart Breaker

I moved to St. Joseph, Michigan to live with my father dad.
Just two two ago after my mom was murdered by a gangster.
And I'm afraid that I've already fallen in love with William Ervings.
"He's a heart breaker, Karson," Shea whispered, "All the girls that went out with him get hurt. Badly. One girl committed suicide after she dated him...all because he hurt her so badly."
"Yeah, Karson. Don't fall for him. He may be a good looking guy, but he's nothing but trouble," Hampton whispered.
"I'm a better guy than Ervings, Karson!" Izzy whined under his breath.
I watched William walk past our table. "I don't care," I breathed.
"All of those are myths about me. All except me hurting people. Your friends are right. Stay away from me if you value your life. I'll only cause you pain."
"I don't believe that. You're a good person. At heart."
"....I don't have a heart anymore."
When I'm with him I'm in pain...or so he says...but if I'm not, I'm in even more pain.
I'm not sure if I'm losing my sanity, or gaining it finally.
""I'm a monster to your kind, Karson."
A serial killer is running lose in the St Joseph area.
"I kill your kind...."
31 dead.
"...for survival."
22 missing.
"I'm a perfect predator. My smell, my looks, even my voice draw you in. As if you could run from me...I can catch up to you in less than a second....as if you could scream for help....I could just snap your neck."
All presumed dead.
"...I won't run then. And I won't scream. Make me part of your kind. That way...you can't hurt me...and we could be happy."
"...That'll cause more pain...not only for you, but for me...to be the reason for it and to watch..."
"...we'll wait then..."
I felt strong, freezing cold arms wrap around my waist as I fell from the cliff. I heard whispered into my ear as someone curled around me to protect me from the freezing waters below that were getting closer by second, "Don't kill yourself...."
The waters hit us.
"...I love you too much for that."
