Wow, this poem go with me story Infatuation...which I be still workin' on. It basic'ly typed itself. I hope ye like it.
Summary: An obsession fascinates you. It's something you love. It draws you close. Sometimes too close...
Standing
I
stare at the waves before me,
Swaying
Back and forth to their
rhythym.
My eyes
Can't control themselves from
watching.
Capsize
In a wave of emptiness within.
Step
closer
Draw nearer
To the alluring kaleidoscope of
colors.
Listen closely
Watch mostly
Their multicolored
parade.
Can I draw away
Myself
From this obsession?
The
waves are pulling me in.
Plant my foot deeper,
Water's
higher,
Keep walking in.
The cool, refreshing feeling,
The
sound and the sea spraying,
Close my eyes and take another
step.
I barely register the height,
Don't care about the
depth.
Keep walking in.
Elicited excitement,
Extricate a
feeling,
Impossible...
The waves of the sea,
Calling
to me,
Let them splash,
Drag me deep,
I'll give the current
control.
Keep walking in.
Up to my lips.
Getting to more
then a dip
In this deep blue sea.
Tide's getting higher.
Feet
can barely reach.
Take a huge breath,
Then exhale one last
time
Before the water rises above my head.
Dead
Because of this...
Infatuation
