Disclaimer: Now, I shall sing you a song. (cover your ears if you want to): I AM NOT J.K. ROWLING, AND I WILL NEVER BE HER. IT MAY BE MY AMBITION, BUT I AM NOT HER. YES, SIREE, MY LIFE IS SAD. YES, SIREE, IT IS!!!
Lily sighed and rolled over for what seemed the 100th time that night. In the afternoon, James Potter, and fellow Head had trained the entire Gryffindor house on Quidditch. The avid fans and players had happily agreed but the Lily, and her best friend, Tammy had grumbled and shot James death glares.
While James and Lily had reconciled their old friendship, the tall dark haired girl had maintained her distaste for the handsome boy. So, Lily, out of friendship decided to help James by actually showing up, a task which many of her house mates had failed to do. And rather than facing it alone without any female company, Lily had blackmailed her best friend into it.
Lily could not help but think of James that night, the image of him taking off his shirt was still a vivid picture in her mind. His patient, kind voice rang in her ears time after time. In short, as Mandy had named it, she had the James Syndrome. She had all the signs:
The picture of his strong, calloused hands running into his hair as a sign of nervousness.
His perfect smile which had so much warmth that she could start a fire with it.
Smelling a ghost of his cologne.
And worst of all, pictures of him proclaiming his everlasting love for her.
But Lily had made a pact to herself that she would never fall for the Potter Charm. At first those around her had questioned those intentions. Why tell yourself that you will not fall for him if you hate him? She too had those questions but they were left at the back of her mind.
As she sat up in bed something caught the light and shone. It was the ring that James had given her for her birthday. It had no romantic meaning, just a ring with her birth sign on it. But when she had received it she had thought that it was the sweetest thing that anyone had ever given to her because it had been hand made. James, the ever talented wizard had put a number of tricky charms so that she could see anything about her birth sign on it.
As she thought about the gesture, she realised that maybe…Just maybe, she did not just want her relationship with him to be platonic…
The end!!!
