Set when the characters are teenagers. Enjoy!:)
Reading. Loki loved it. He loved how simply scanning words on a page could take him to places even grander than the library of the Asgardian palace he called home and into adventures even greater than those he might ever hope to go on with his brother. He loved the scent and feeling of soft, time-worn covers and pages of the books. He loved the near-silence that surrounded this golden, dome-ceilinged room like a shroud, broken only occasionally by the very annoying sounds that would come from the training grounds outside.
That was the center of Thor's world, and this – inside this ornate library – was the center of his own life.
Nowadays, he'd taken up nearly permanent residence in a plush leather chair with a book always in hand. But nowadays he didn't do much beside look over and around the edges of the books he held – sneaking glimpses of her in her own nearly permanent spot across the room.
Sigyn Iwaldisdotter.
He was beginning to love her too. Though they had yet to speak to one another, she was starting to become the center of his world.
Maybe one day soon he would scrape up the courage to tell her so.
