Preface
So you thought a girl would fall in love at age 20? I don't think so. When I told my mom I fell in love, she went ballistic. But what was I going to do? Fall out of love with some guy? That was ridiculous. I loved him. And it would stay that way. Forever.
Chapter one
Two weeks. Collage. I layed my head back down on my pillow. Nightmares. Again. Io didn't want to go to collage. That meant leaving my nice quiet town. Well at least there were some perks. I got Chad, my boyfriend. He was cute, funny, and very buff. But he wasn't all that smart. He was everything but that. And there was high school. I love school. I never wanted to leave. But I had to. That was the worst part.
"Shea! Breakfast!" Mom called. I ran down stairs. I smelled peanut butter pancakes. My favorite. I sat down and I didn't even pick up my fork. I literally just took my hands and began to eat.
I saw my mother looking at me and realized my mistake. I picked up my fork and then started to eat again. I was starving. "So honey when are you going to start packing?" I stopped. I really didn't want to talk about this. Hadn't I dreamt enough of it? My mother saw that I didn't want to talk. She left the room mumbling something about me being irresponsible. I went up stairs to take a shower.
I went in to the bathroom and turned the water to hot. I jumped into the shower, and felt the scorching hot water against my frosty arctic skin. The hot water felt so well compared to the bitter air outside. Living in Vostok, Antarctica well, not the warmest place in the world. I picked up my blueberry mango shampoo. I poured a glob of it in my hand and ran my fingers through my hair so that it would spread all over. After my nice warm shower, I threw a towel on, and went into my room, to put some of my favorite clothing on. It was the last day of school. I have dreaded this day since the first day of school. I had to say good bye to all of my friends. Including Chad. They were all going on vacation. Bye the time they come back, I will be at college.
Climbing into my burgundy Corvette, I noticed a very peculiar smell. I turned around, and saw a skunk right there sitting on the front lawn. I plugged my nose because the smell was so ghastly. As soon as I smelled it I jumped into my car, and rolled the windows up.
Chapter two
As I parked into the school lot I noticed that there were more cars than usual. Maybe on a regular day there were 50 or 60 cars. But today there were over a 110 cars!! I wonder what the occasion was. As I walked toward the school, I saw a car drive by. On the back of the car there was a sign. The sign said, "Good bye high school, hello life!" Unlike other people I was cheerless about leaving school. I was walking and somebody put their hands over my eyes. I turned around to see that it was Chad. " Are you excited about leaving school?" He chuckled. Chad knew I didn't want to leave school. I playfully nudged him in the arm. As we walked to history he gently put his arm around my waist and escorted me there.
During history, Mr. Lautent went on and on about the revolution. I was about to fall asleep when Chad passed me a note.
Want to ditch class? Of course you.
Umm…sure? But how
You'll see!!!
Chad got up from his seatand excused himself to the bathroom.
