Chapter 1: NEW WORLD

The first chapter focuses on Elena's side of things. After 6 years everything has changed radically in Mystic Falls…..And its not Jeremy that died when Silas woke up but someone else…..

'Mystic Falls. Nothing bad happens around here….' I said once to Damon. But that's not true I suppose. After six years of our lives being a horror movie now I can say that things are better. Are a bit normal. But still, bad things happened. I remember the day. The day when Stefan gets killed by Silas. I remember the way he looked at me… His eyes full of regret. His last words: Damon, take care of Damon. I remember Damon running like hell trying to stop it. Everything happened so fast. Stefan couldn't even fight Silas.

Here we are today. Klaus took the cure. Now he's not like he used to be. He is just Klaus. And Caroline is his girlfriend, something that I will never be able to accept. I know that Klaus turned our lives upside down. He always thought of himself. Now the only thing he's doing is serving his princess Caroline. And Caroline is so happy. She's in 7th heaven right now. They have been traveling for months . I expect them to return soon. Yeah. I expect them because Damon won't be here.

Damon opening the door – Elena is writing

-Damon: I thought you said that you wouldn't write again…

-Elena: Oh It's just a piece of papper… Writing helps me…

Damon staring at her.

-Elena: Hey I know you can't accept it - Klaus and Caroline being together- but… what can we do?-

-Damon: Elena STOP

-Elena: why Damon? You think that's easy for me? You think that I' m okay with having KLAUS over for dinner and pretending like nothing happened? I AM NOT

-Damon: SO DO NOT ACCEPT IT.

-Elena: I CANT. Look Damon. I will never EVER forgive Klaus and forget what he's done to me. But now he's human. His sister died. Elijah is missing. He's losing his family. He can't hurt me or US. NOT ANYMORE. Just be on my side please.

Damon gives a sad look at her...

-Damon: It's just that I see his face and I recall all these terrible things that happened. All I want to do is kill him and you know it's so EASY. Everyday I'm thinking of how everything would be if Klaus never came here.

-Elena: You and I would never be together.

-Damon: You don't know that baby.

Damon walks slowly towards her, grabs her and gives her a kiss.

-Elena: So… (gives him a big smile) are you gonna do this for me? PLEASEEEEE?

-Damon: It's hard to say no to this puppy face of yours that begs me to say yes…. I don't know baby…. Guess you have to wait until tonight to see..

-Elena: Damon Salvatore. FULL OF SURPRISES!
