The Doc was a no-nonsense sort of professor, refusing to put up with class clowns or any student causing shenanigans. He knew he could be difficult to understand, seeing as his normal speech rate was slightly faster than Nora's spazz-and-or-meltdown rate, but if they tried they would have no problems.
Not every student tried, though, and one team, in particular, had the Doc fed up with their attitudes.
"If I hear one more snide remark from any of you four, you will regret the day you set foot in my auditorium..." He spoke slowly, sipping from his coffee mug and adjusting his spectacles. Cardin Winchester must have grown a spine upon hearing that because he jumped out of his seat and bowed up to the professor. ER-HEM, excuse me, Doctor. He didn't earn the PH.D. for fun, thank you very much.
"You think you can take us? You're nothing but brains, Oobleck! I bet you're not even a real Do-!" SMACK!
The Doc had delivered a careful whack to the boy's head with his coffee thermos. With a flick of his wrist came another SMACK! Before anyone knew what was happening, there was a full-throttle assault on Cardin.
"I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR DISREGARD FOR EVERYTHING THIS SCHOOL IS TRYING TO TEACH YOU! BEING A HUNTSMAN IS MORE THAN BRAWN AND DARING HEROISM! IF YOU DON'T FLEX YOUR BRAIN ONCE IN A WHILE YOU'LL VERY PROBABLY WIND UP AS A GOURMET MEAL FOR A HUNGRY GRIMM! NOW YOUR SHENANIGANS WILL CEASE THIS INSTANT OR I'LL SEE YOU SHIPPED BACK TO WHEREVER IT IS YOU CAME FROM, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?" Oobleck words spewed from his mouth as he effortlessly subdued Cardin, only his arm and his mouth moving.
"Is he supposed to do that?" Weiss whispered to her teammates. Yang could hardly stop herself from laughing at the scene unfolding before them.
"How else are you going to teach an insufferable prick that doesn't seem to have two brain cells to rub together?" Blake mused.
"It's like Dad and Qrow always say: 'You show respect, you get respect!'" Ruby chimed in, hoping their quiet conversation would not send the unholy wrath of Doctor Oobleck toward them.
"Yeah, and if you show your ass you get... pummeled with a coffee thermos by a teacher who may be slightly deranged and is probably made up entirely of caffeine." Yang continued, obviously altering their father's quote just a tad.
"And your teammates should get the same, but they didn't even try to help you, so the shame of that should suffice this time," Oobleck told the idiot at his feet, sipping a long drink of coffee from the mug on his desk after sliding back to the blackboard with a whoosh. Yep, the Doc mostly slid when he moved. Running was too slow and walking was impossible after all that coffee. "Now, back to our lesson, seeing as our schedule tells me we're four minutes behind... SCHEDULE!"
And so the Doc continued his lecture, speaking a hundred miles a second, making no acknowledgment of the idiot who still lay there on the auditorium floor. Whether Cardin had learned his lesson or not, the rest of Team CRDL had, as had the rest of the class. Doctor Oobleck fancied himself an intellectual, but he was also a capable fighter and definitely not a professor to be crossed.

((I just love the idea of Cardin and/or his team getting pummeled by anyone. Is that bad? Ehh, who cares?))
