"Why are we doing this again?" Danny groaned.
"Because you want to thank your chemistry teacher for getting you interested in science," she reminded him, "Oh and you want to show off your hot pregnant wife to all your old classmates," she winked at him.
He pulled her closer, her 6 month bump brushing against his side, "Have I told you how gorgeous you are today?" he dipped his head to kiss her neck gently.
"No distracting me," she chided, "Take me inside and get me something to drink and eat."
He led her into the hotel banquet room. The room was decorated in the corny theme of the 1990 prom, 'An Enchanted Evening'.
"I hated that night," Danny said when he found a table. He pulled the chair out for Lindsay; she sat and waited for him to sit next to her.
"Tell me about it," she leaned into him, when he situated their chairs.
"Gina Rizzo," he began, "I thought she was the one. Turns out she was EVERYones."
"Stupid girl," Lindsay said, she nuzzled his neck, "Lucky me."
"So I rent the limo, dish out all the money to rent the tux, diner at a fancy restaurant, corsage, I went all out," he continued, wrapping his arm around her to rest his hand on her belly, "I caught her behind the bleachers with Tony Catero. He was always my biggest competition. For baseball anyway."
Tilting her head to kiss him, "I would have been proud to be on your arm."
"Love you too, baby," he whispered against her lips, "You wanna drink?"
"Yes," she smiled happily at him, "make sure it is a virgin though," she reminded him.
"Like I could forget," he kissed her head, patting her belly softly.
"Oh," she said to his back, "bring me something to eat," giggling when he throw his hand up in the air.
"I wonder if I can steal this one away from you too, Messer," a voice came from next to him.
"Catero," Danny greeted, "You could try. But she'll kick your ass."
"We shall see," Tony said, walking casually over to Lindsay. He slid into the seat next to her, completely unaware of her belly, "What does Messer have that I don't?"
Lindsay looks at the guy from the corner of her eye, "Hello," she replied politely.
"How you doin' beautiful thing? You wanna get outta this dump?"
Rolling her eyes at him, she moves so he can see her very obvious belly, "What does Danny have that you don't? The decency to NOT hit on a very pregnant married woman. Respect for women. Class."
Stunned Tony stood up, "Sorry to interrupt your evening," he said dipping his head in apology and walked away.
"Idiot," Lindsay muttered, but said loud enough for him to hear.
Danny had a shit eating grin on his face when Tony walked back over to where he was standing, "Told ya," he said proudly.
"She's ain't from around here is she?" Tony asked.
"That's my Montana," Danny boasted, practically puffing his chest up, "Born and bred country girl."
Tony was about to speak, but Danny cut him off.
"Nope, it's not the hormones, and don't let her hear you say that," he said, "She just doesn't tolerate bullshit."
"Where do I get one of her?"
"Sorry buddy," Danny slapped him on the back, "But I don't think you could handle a woman like her."
