"Ahh," the scream was heard all throughout Privet Drive. The woman from number 7 looked up from retrieving her newspaper to see , of number 4, looking like someone had just struck her. Afterwards she could hear a young child begin to cry but the noise didn't come from the inside of the house but from the doorstep. From her vantage point, the woman from number 7 could only see a swaddled of blankets.

was still looking at the crying bundle like it was a sick joke, when thuds could be heard from the inside of the house and a voice bellowed, "what is that infernal noise and where is it coming from?"

came towards the doorway and after not receiving any answers from his wife, turned his small eyes to what held her attention. His face morphed to that of a raging bull, becoming purple with rage and his eyes reddened and narrowed.

"What is that thing doing here," he yelled. Still his wife did not respond. He was about to demand answers from her for a third time, when he finally noticed all the attention that they were getting, the bad sort.

He forced himself to calm down and whispered to his wife ( but it was better off if he still shouted) to get inside. Mrs. Dursley followed the order robotically and returned to the safe and discreet household. Mr. Dursley then picked up the bundle but held it as far away from himself as he could, and went into the house as well.

The woman from number 7, who witnessed the whole bizarre event, no longer knew what to think but knew for sure that change has come to there small part of the world. She just didn't know what it would ensure.
