A.N. Wrote this during math… sorry if it sucks.
I missed his warm smile. His soft hand in my own. My boyfriend, Alfred, had left for the military, leaving me alone without any way of contacting him.
My loud doorbell rang, and I rushed to the door to greet… a box? Near my toes was a tiny, brown box. The box held one word, Will. Will? What was that supposed to mean?
"Hello?" I called. I saw movement by my old willow tree. I sprinted toward it, to come to another small box. Inside of this one the word was, You. I was so unsure of what these meant, and where they were coming from.
I started back for my house, cautiously. My foot kicked something, and there was yet another box! I reached for it, arm shaking. I opened it slowly, and read two words this time, Marry Me.
I was very confused. When I looked back up, a familiar face was there to greet me with a calming smile.
"ALFRED!" I squealed, too awe-stuck to move.
He got down on one knee, pulling a fabulous black box out of his army get-up.
"Alice Kirkland, I have loved you ever since I laid eyes on you. It would be my honor to ask you to be my wife and to spend the rest of our lives together." He said, opening up the box. The ring was a simple gold band with a cute diamond embedded in its gorgeousness.
My mind was like a tornado, thinking of all the amazing things I could tell him back. Instead of all of those, I spluttered out, "uhh, s-sure…"
He took my left hand, sliding the perfect fitting ring onto my finger. Then standing up and placing his warm lips on my shuttering ones.
