Luke's Tragedy
How different are things now from what they were,
As he looks backward on his life before –
He came and joined the fight because of her,
And now he never sees her anymore.
What a very strange turn life can take –
Her peril changed his life beyond his dreams.
Yet with the calm that follows in its wake,
He finds his new-found fame not what it seems.
What brought her to him now keeps them apart;
The Galaxy is many worlds across.
Each to their separate duties must depart,
And in his bright new life, he finds a loss.
So disregarding what they might prefer,
Though far apart, work jointly at their chore.
