I was given some prompts onto my James Potter account and people seemed to like them so I thought I'd upload them here. They are just a few short jily one shots really. If you want to give me a prompt just leave one in reviews :D Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!
Prompt: Asparagus
James walked into the Great Hall as his stomach rumbled. He could smell all the fresh meats and cheese, toast, pastries, bacon, eggs and other breakfast foods laid out on the four house tables. A warm atmosphere surrounded the students as they ate happily together, a babbling chatter resounding across the large hall.
James grinned as he saw his friends all eating and chatting together and he made his way over to them. He slipped into the bench, sliding his legs under the table. He greeted his friends and began to pile up his plate with food when Lily sat opposite him.
His leg brushed against hers gently and she blushed causing him to laugh awkwardly. "Morning Lily," he said smiling over at her as she returned his smile. "Morning James," she replied politely, while pouring some milk into a cup of tea.
James watched Lily as she scanned the table for something to eat, she locked eyes on a bowl full of poached eggs and he pushed the large bowl towards he so that she could get one. She thanked him and placed the poached egg on her plate, looking for something to accompany it.
She saw a plate of grilled asparagus and waved her wand, floating it over towards her magically. She placed a few asparagus onto her plate while James pulled a face. She looked up at him frowning. "What's wrong James?" She asked, her lip curling slightly at his obvious distaste of her meal.
"I just hate asparagus," he muttered shrugging, not wanting to offend her. "It's never really agreed with me." He finished, stabbing a sausage with his fork before shoving it into his mouth and chewing.
A mischievous smirk spread across Lily's face as an idea formed in her mind and she picked up a piece of asparagus, twirling it in her grasp. "Oh James, if you never give it a chance…" She tole him, repeating the words he used to convince her to go on a date with him the prior week.
James groaned looking up at her, he knew he had to try it now. "You're evil…" He moaned, taking the fork from her grasp, their fingers brushing against each other lightly, causing one another to blush.
He took the fork and stared at the vegetable as if it had offended him before shoving it in his mouth and chewing. He wretched a few times before swallowing. "I hope you enjoyed that…" He grumbled, passing her the fork back. Lily giggled and nodded, "oh you don't know how much I did James." She said playfully as the two continued to eat their breakfast.
