Lonely Boy.
Dan thought it was ironic how much that moniker fit him. Every since he could remember he'd always been the loner in the bunch.
When his parents had taken to kindergarten, he had forgone sitting around the circle with his fellow classmates to listen to the story. Nope. Instead he'd sat at a table doodling his name in big print letters. He didn't know why he always avoided people.
But it wasn't until he'd met the non-judging Breakfast Club that he felt like he really had friends. Serena had helped him open his heart. But their off and on relationship kind of made him withdrew a bit. Then he'd gotten to know Blair.
He didn't know what it was about her. But she made him laugh and she wouldn't allow him to withdraw into a corner. Thanks to the Upper East Side's princess, the kid from the wrong side of the tracks didn't feel so isolated anymore. And for that, he was forever thankful.
