Coma
Hades god of the underworld sat in his throne desiring love he watched Persephone resting He picked a pomegranate from a nearby tree squeezed the juices to the ground from those juices came a women. This women had hair the color of bark, eyes as green as the grass, and she held a staff made from maple wood.
"Your name is Coma, created by my longing for Persephone!" Exclaimed Hades. Persephone awoke from his shout to see the beauty that was her daughter.
"This coma is your mother the daughter of the barley mother. You are the child of life and death." Hades stated as he gazed at Persephone.
"Very well Coma I shall bestow the power to control seasonal changes. I shall send you to my mother Demeter, so that you aren't trapped here as I am." Persephone said as she combed through Coma's hair. When Persephone leaves to join her mother she brings Coma with her.
"Mother I give you my daughter so that when summer ends you shall not be lonely." Time passes and Coma observes nature's beauty while alive. When Persephone returns to Hades she sees life stop the trees lose their leaves they just fall while still green.
"Why do these beautiful leaves die? Why is everything dead, dark and colorless?" inquired Coma.
"Because my child has left to Hades," Demeter said "She is stolen from me and I take my revenge by stopping growth!"
"Why must you punish earth for my father's misdeed's? Who is this punishment meant for!" Shouted Coma.
"For all those who hid the truth from me! They brought this on earth for they allowed me to suffer. When I suffer the world shall be encompassed by my pain!" Thundered Demeter.
"Then I shall stop the pain for I am the child of life and death. I will decide what is worthy of your punishment." Proclaimed Coma.
Coma slams her staff to the ground her staff and the world comes back to life. Trees that were once cold and broken sprouted new leaves. Flowers emerged from the ground with colors never seen before brighter then the sun. Streams flow clear emitting an essence of warmth. Crops grew two times as tall with more bountiful produce. The world is thriving again with life.
"You have defied me! I shall give my punishment for I am stronger and greater then you! I am an Olympian I rule you! I control nature on earth." Demeter sends a frost throughout the world. In response Coma goes to Zeus and pleads for him to stop Demeter.
"You must reflect within yourself to solve this epidemic. While it is not your fault for her pain your must offer her something in return for the life you want." Zeus advises. "Demeter simply wants revenge she feels that what she holds from the deal with her daughter is nothing."
"Demeter I will give up my immortality for the benefit of nature." Coma offers "The world will slowly fall into a slumber. Leaves will change colors as a warning I call this fall. Then your punishment shall start were the world is in a dormant state, they will awake slowly. Water falling from the sky will symbolize when they awake and plants burst from their covers which shall be called spring."
"You shall get your wish but your punishment is turning into a Evergreen and forever watching this cycle."
