"Happy Birthday, Dad!"

Harry woke up sat straight up to see James, Albus, Lily and Ginny all crowded around his bed. He smiled at them. "Good morning, guys," He said happily, but sleepily.

"Happy Birthday, Sweetheart," Ginny said walking around the bed, with Lily on her hip and kissing Harry on the cheek and placing a red parcel on his lap. It was small and square shaped.

"You didn't get me presents, did you?" Harry said, raising an eyebrow, but grinning all the time. He turned the parcel around in his hands a few times then held it up to his ear and shook it, at which Ginny flinched. He smiled, then put it back on his lap and reached for his wand. James gasped and ran over, snatching the wand from him and smiling.

"No, dad!" He cried, "You're not allowed to open it with your wand!" Harry laughed and shook his head at his six year old son, but went on to open the present manually. Beneath the paper there was a box. It was small enough to fit into the palm of his hand. He opened it to find a chunky gold ring with a purple stone in it. The stone had been split down the middle. The last time Harry had seen this was just before he had battled Voldemort. He thought he had lost it. Harry bit his lip smiled, trying to keep the tears from spilling down his cheeks.

" We found it a few years back, when George, Percy, Bill, Charlie, Ron and I went to visit Dumbledore's grave. After we'd seen it we walked through the Forbidden Forest and we found this half buried in the dirt. Ron recognised it and we decided we'd give it you and you're thirtieth birthday," Ginny explained, smiling at her husband.

"Thank you," Harry said, wiping his eyes on the back of his hand. "So, who's next?" He said smiling at his sons. Albus climbed on Harry's bed and sat on his legs after handing Harry a big, green, thin parcel. Harry opened it, grinned a ruffled Albus' hair when he uncovered the massive bar of 'Honeyduke's Finest Milk Chocolate'. Next James crawled next to Harry and handed him two parcels; the larger one of blue paper, the smaller of pink.

"The pink one's Lily's," James explained, as Harry picked up the blue present. Inside it was a set of Gobstones. In Lily's was a watch with a red strap.

"The presents are great, Kids," Harry grinned.

After breakfast the family spent the morning playing with Harry's new Gobstones, until lunchtime when, Ron, Hermione, Rose and Hugo came round, bringing a bottle of firewhiskey and fifty galleons for Harry. The rest of the afternoon was spent in conversation and the day ended in a spectacular firework display, supplied by George who had turned up at around six o'clock.

After the kids were in bed and the rest of the family had gone home Harry and Ginny sat in front of the fire place. Harry swirled the Resurrection Stone Ring around his finger, eyes glazed over as he stared into the dancing flames in the fireplace.

"Happy Birthday, Harry," Ginny whispered before pulling her husband into a kiss.
