Summary:After all the years of friendship, can one person come between our Golden Trio?one-shot, hermiones POV, HG/DM
Because of Him
Disclaimer:I do not own Harry Potter or any other familiar characters you read about
They had darred to finally ask her, or more like chasten her. She strangely found solace in this,
already devastated from the recent awkward silent moments they seemed to have lately. It was
ludicrous, really, that one person would come in between their tightly knit trio. She had
expected shock, even a good rave from the redhead of the group, but this silence between her
two best friends, her boys, impacted her more than any temperamental rampage. They looked
at her differently now, as if she had commited some kind of treasson upon them.In a way she
had, her new aquaintance had, in fact, been their enemy right from the beggining.
But after the raid on her second home, the remnant of her innocence had left her, and
everybody was too busy repairing and planning revenge to nitoce it.She had listlessly sunk into a
deep melancholy, an aching feeling that confussed and tore at her. She had blindly followed the
oblique path down. Her innocence had been the only thing left, a parapet against a weary
world.
Desopite all, He noticed. He, her lifelong enemy, with his arrogant sneer, his too-blond hair,
pale complexion(sp?) and sarcastic remarks. His grey eyes had pierced through her and He , of
all people, understood. He didnt pitty her, or told her everything would be all right, he just
watched and listened. In a way, he was just like her, and they had become a sort of friends. But
now her friends distanced themselfs from her, and she felt even more lonely. All of this, because
of him, her enemy, and now her friend.
